Two distinct techniques to create the textures and finishes that bring my sculptures to life.

Sea creatures crafted from seashells, including a seahorse, a fish, and a bird, displayed against a blue background.

One technique uses only shells to create the effect of scales or feathers, primarily in fish and birds such as the Red-Tailed Hawk, Seahorse, and Lionfish.

Three animal figures made of shells and sand with long legs and antlers, a giraffe in the middle, an elephant on the left, and a moose on the right, all standing on a blue surface with blue background.

The second method uses sand, pressed into a coating of water putty layered over the shells, to evoke the texture of skin or fur. This approach brings to life animals such as the Elephant, Giraffe, and Moose. No matter the technique, every sculpture begins with the same foundation—shells.
